Mambo -> Joomla!

Nimelt Austraalia firma Miro arenejate tuumik lahkus minu arusaamiste kohaselt eelmisest firmast ning asutas uue toote, kuna neil pole õigusi Mambo nime kasutada. Nii sündis Joomla!

The name Joomla! is a phonetic spelling for the Swahili word "Jumla", which means "all together" or "as a whole". It was chosen as the entire teams behind Mambo were unanimous in their commitment to protecting the interests of the creators and community, which was the true cause for the success and acclaim earned by that project.

This name was chosen from thousands of recommendations by the community, and even went through an arduous review session by branding and marketing professionals who also felt that Joomla! was the best choice of the lot.

Mambo OpenSource project oli auhinnatud CMS portaalilahendus PHP+MySQL peal. Vägagi populaarne ja pädev, kui ma võiks mainida. Proovisin seda isegi kunagi siin.


Nagu ma aru saan, siis Miro jätkab Mambo arendust, Joomla gäng oma resetitud versiooninumbriga projekti arendamist.

Joomla! version 1.0.0 is derived from Mambo 4.5.2.3 but includes additional bug fixes and patches. Joomla! version 1.1.0 is derived from the original work done by the Joomla! Development Teams towards Mambo 4.5.3.
